The Project

Picture
The Saline Regional Public Water Authority is embarking on a transformative journey to secure the future of water for our communities. This project is designed to bring high-quality drinking water to each participating water system through an innovative, collaborative approach. From the raw water intake on the Ouachita River to a raw water storage reservoir, a state-of-the-art treatment plant in Saline County will process the water and ensure it meets the highest standards and aligns with State and Federal Drinking Water Regulations before being distributed to each entity's individual system.

This project addresses the growing need for partnership and collaboration among smaller water systems. By working together, we are not just meeting today’s demands but creating a resilient, regional water system that will serve future generations without compromise. Regionalization in water systems can take many forms, and this project is a shining example of how unity and shared vision can solve complex challenges.

With this partnership, we are building more than infrastructure—we’re building a foundation of security and sustainability. The system’s resiliency means that our communities will have access to safe, reliable water for decades to come, no matter what challenges the future may hold.

We’re committed to keeping you informed with consistent updates on this vital project. Together, we are creating a legacy of clean, dependable water for all.

Current Project Phase: Easement Acquisitions and Design

Easement Acquisition Commitee

The Easement Acquisition Committee is essential to making the Saline Regional Public Water Authority’s vision a reality. Our job is to secure the legal permissions, called easements, needed to build and maintain the infrastructure for this groundbreaking project.
We work closely with property owners to ensure the process is fair, transparent, and respectful. By acquiring the necessary easements, we enable the construction of critical waterlines and systems that will improve resilience and reliability across our region.
This committee ensures that every step of the process supports the project’s overall goal: creating a stronger, more collaborative water system for everyone.
